Turmeric Tea

– 2 Sticks Cinnamon
– 1/4 Cup Turmeric (shaved root or powder, powder is stronger)
– 1 to 1 1/2 Cartons Almond Milk (Organic Unsweetened, 32 oz)
– 1 Tablespoon Ginger (blend fresh ginger with almond oil)
– Stevia (or sweetener of choice)

Boil Cinnamon in 1 1/2 cups of water for 20-30 minutes. Pour Turmeric in water for 6 minutes. Add Almond Milk. Add Ginger. Add sweetener to taste.

If in SF, Rainbow is a good place to get the ingredients. Also best to brew in cast iron pot or Creuset (or knockoff). This tea worked very well for a friend that drank a small cup twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening. Also, it’s important to note that the Turmeric powder stains anything it comes in contact with, so best to cover areas while preparing. Cheers to health! 🙂
