What kind of protein do you recommend?
Ah yes. Protein powder quality does matter!
Look for:
− All-natural, grass fed cows whey, NOT pesticide-treated, grain-fed
− Hormone-free cows whey, NOT heat processed
− Cold processed, NOT heat
− Acid-free processing, NOT acid/ion exchange
− Whey protein concentrate, NOT protein isolates
− Sweetened naturally, NOT artificially
Some great whey protein resources include; Jarrow Formulas – Organic Whey protein (Wholefoods carries this), and Mercola (online at http://www.mercola.com, search for “Pure Power Protein”, vanilla is best). His site is a bit confusing and sale-sy but his articles are really informative. You’ll pay more but it’s worth it!
